Birthday Parties!!!
Ayden you have had a wonderful first birthday! On saturday Nov 14th we had a birthday party at home for you. we invited our close friends and daddy’s family. You had so much fun! we spent the morning shopping and cleaning to get ready for the afternoon. You managed to have a nap at 1:00 which was a good thing cause people started to arrive at 2. We had some pop, jucie and coffee for beverages and some chips too. After everyone arrived and settled down, we sang happy birthday to you. It was so wonderful to hear the whole group singing to you! You then had your first cake..You stuck your hand right in!!!! You were covered in icing, all over your body. Legs, hands, neck, hair, ears, arms, and total face was covered. While daddy cleaned up after you had cake,...
ONE YEAR OLD!!!!
Well little man…we did it…You managed to overcome all the odds and you made it to your first birthday…You are such a wonderful little boy. All the things you have been through over the past year can now be put to rest. You are growing up! You are developing! You are getting quite a personality and you are the love of my life…well aside from your daddy! Today Daddy went to get you from your crib when you woke up…I heard him sing the Happy birthday song to you while he was picking you up…You have no idea how much this means to both of us. After we brought you downstairs, you played on the floor for a bit and then Daddy helped me feed you. While we fed you breakfast we both sang Happy Birthday to you together…although Mommy...
Mommy’s thoughts
Well Ayden, it’s hard to believe that at this time last year, I was in the hospital in Hamilton trying to keep you in-utero for as long as we could. On Nov 6th, 2008 Grampy and I went for an ultrasound and then I ended up in the hospital in Hamilton on bed rest. It was a very hard time in my life, but nothing compared to what we have been though with you over the last year. Reading back and looking at the pictures, you have come so far and I am so very proud of you….but I am also proud of your dad and I as well. It takes strong people and a strong couple to go though everything we have been through to get you but also to keep you. Never once did we second guess eachother or our relationship. We love eachother so very much and in turn that allows us to...

More Odds n Ends.
So we’re in the homestretch here now aren’t we little guy.. I implore you all out there to leave comments whenever you can as once we post the results of his 1st Birthday the blog will be finished. Any new updates will happen in either of our Facebook accounts. This blog will then get burned to a DVD for Ayden to read through when he’s old enough to get his head around the immensity of the situations he’s gone through. So I was digging through my video’s and here’s a cute one of Ayden taking a bath I think you’ll enjoy. Not worried anymore
Well Little one, you certainly know when you want or don’t want something. when you were in the hospital and you didn’t want your Cpap on anymore you took it off yourself…and now you are telling us loud and clear that you no longer like this icky formula and bottle and you want real food! We have been trying for weeks to feed you formula though your bottle, but you kept fighting us. You would cry, turn your head away, close your mouth and all around fuss when we tried to get you to take it. At first we thought that maybe due to your teething you just were sore and it hurt to eat…but then we tried to give you formula other ways too and you wouldn’t take it. You love eating solids but can’t get you to take the bottle...
Project Blog is Almost Done!
Well we’re now in the final stretch! It was my intention when I started this to log the first year of Ayden’s life. Its been a crazy road. And it’s really really weird to be near the one year mark for him. He’s doing so well, yet has a long way to go yet. What New Things are Happening: Ayden Talk: The little fella has developed his own form of communication – made up of a series of grunts and coo’s. There have been times when he’s said actual words but I don’t think they count as he really didn’t know what he was saying. I’ve heard “hey Dadda” come out on one occasion. He’s got his ga’ and da’s down pat, as was as some ma and mo sounds and a ba sound as well. Feedings Well...
